The Muppets have received the 2,466th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, honouring more than 50 years of entertaining the public on television and in movies.

Alongside Jim Henson's creations, Jason Segal a long-time fan who starred, co-wrote and was one of the executive producers of "The Muppets" movie, attended the ceremony as well as Lisa Henson, the oldest child of the Muppets' late creator.

The Muppets' female lead, the one-and-only Miss Piggy, graciously attended the event with her fellow co-stars:

The ceremony comes on the same day as "The Muppets" becomes available on DVD, Blu-ray, digital download and On-Demand.
