First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama presented Taylor Swift with "The Big Help Award" at The 2012 Kids' Choice Awards, but was then collaterally splattered with the show's signature green slime after a direct hit on Justin Bieber.
Twenty-two-year-old singer-songwriter Swift was recognized for her philanthropic efforts including assisting U.S. tornado and flood survivors, and volunteering at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the St. Jude Medical Center and Habitat for Humanity.

It is my great privilege to present Nickelodeon's Big Help Award to someone who has rocketed to the top of the music industry but still keeps her feet on the ground; someone who has shattered every expectation of what a 22-year old can accomplish and someone who is going to keep making sparks fly for all of us for the years ahead. Let's all give it up for the one and only Taylor Swift.
Swift walked onstage and after giving Obama a hug said that she was "freaking out" about receiving the award from the First Lady.
At the end of the show, with the First Lady and her daughters in the audience, host Will Smith and big winner of the evening Justin Bieber were hit with the show's signature slime.
As the green goo flowed from the rafters and water cannons, some splattered on the face of a surprised Mrs. Obama.
