William and Kate: Royal waxworks unveiled
Waxworks of the one of the most photographed couples in the world have been unveiled.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will take pride of place at Madame Tussauds
Kate Middleton is dressed in an exact copy of the blue Issa London dress she wore on the day of the engagement announcement, created for the attraction by the Issa design team.
The wax work also sports a recreation of the sapphire and diamond engagement ring once worn by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Prince William will be in a navy suit.
New figures of the Royal couple will also be launched in Madame Tussauds attractions in New York and Amsterdam.
Each figure cost £150,000 to create with teams of sculptors and hair and colour artists working for four months to achieve an accurate likenesses.
In Amsterdam the Duchess of Cambridge wax figure is shown in a version of the lace Alice Temperley dress she wore to the red carpet premier of "War Horse."
In New York, the Duchess is dressed in a replica Alexander McQueen floor-length gown.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not personally attend a sitting but were "closely involved and kept informed at every stage of the process," Madame Tussauds said.
