Fabrice Muamba spoke to Adrian Chiles about his remarkable recovery, ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup final on ITV1.

The Bolton Wanderers midfielder told Chiles he was very happy and very grateful to be alive.

He said his recovery surprised his doctors and was proof that "miracles do happen."

The midfielder collapsed on the pitch in the first half of Bolton's FA quarter-final at Tottenham Hotspur on March 17.

His doctors told him they did not expect to see him walk out of hospital.

Trust me Adrian, I'm just grateful to be able to walk.

Not anything else, just to be able to walk freely.

God sent the NHS people to help me, it is just God's miracle.

He said he was just taking life one day at a time and enjoying spending time with his family.
