Adele must surely need a trophy bunker rather than a cabinet as she looks set to make another impressive haul at The Ivor Novello Awards in London tonight.

The 24-year-old singer is nominated in four categories in the awards, including Best Song Musically and Lyrically, Best Album and Most Performed Work.

Other artists who will be attending the awards include Florence + The Machine, Ed Sheeran and Kate Bush.

The Ivor Novello Awards honour "excellence in songwriting and composing" and are the only musical awards that are judged by songwriters and composers.

Paul McCartney once described 'The Ivors' as the greatest award a musician could receive. In the past they have attracted names including Johnny Marr and Stevie Winwood.

The awards ceremony takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London.
