The Queen 'humbled' by Diamond Jubilee celebrations
The Queen said the events to mark her Diamond Jubilee were a "humbling experience" which she hoped would "brighten our lives for many years to come".
In a special message of thanks recorded at Buckingham Palace the Queen said she was deeply touched to see so many people coming together to mark the occasion.

The Queen acknowledged the huge challenge of organising the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
She said she would draw inspiration from the "countless kindnesses" shown to her in Britain and the Commonwealth.
