UK sisters named world's oldest siblings

Two UK sisters have been crowned as the oldest siblings in the world by Guinness World Records.

The international authority on world records confirmed that the sisters had the "highest combined age of two living siblings."

The combined age of the two sisters is 213 years, three months, and 27 days. The elder sister,

Dorothy Richards, is 108 years old while Marjorie Ruddle, the younger one, 105 years old.While celebrating their record with a tea party at Park House Nursing Home in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire County, Marjorie jokingly replied that it is "hard work" that has kept her living so long.Family members were quite excited by the achievement.

Dorothy and Marjorie were born and brought up in Northampton and both attended college in London. The two returned home to take care of the family after their mother passed away.

Presently, Marjorie lives at the Park House Nursing Home, while Dorothy lives in a care home not too far away in Stamford, Lincolnshire County.
