MPs beat peers in parliamentary tug-of-war match
MPs have beaten peers in the 25th annual charity parliamentary tug-of-war match.
The victorious Commons team included Conservatives Mike Penning and Tobias Ellwood, Labour's Karl Turner and the SNP's Angus MacNeil.
They proved too much for the peers - despite lending them Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming in an effort to even things up.
It is hoped that the event on Westminster Abbey's College Garden will raise more than £100,000 for the cancer support charity Macmillan.
