Drunk driver jumps a red light and spins out of control

Police in New jersey have released CCTV footage of the moment a drunk driver jumped a red light, slammed into on-coming traffic and hit a lamp post.

The moment of impact was caught by cameras set-up to film drivers running red lights.

There were no reported injuries in the accident and the driver of the car was arrested.

The CCTV was released to encourage safer driving.
