Was the North Korean First Lady a former cheerleader?

The South Korean news agency Yonhap is reporting claims from intelligence sources which suggest that the new North Korean First Lady Ri Sol Ju once visited the South.

It's believed that Kim Jung Un's wife was in South Korea in 2005 as part of a cheerleading squad at a cross border athletic event.

Photo archives have been trawled for any possible shots of the future leader's wife. One snap featured by Yonhap shows a young girl wearing a blue jacket and red scarf. The image bears a passing resemblance to and could be a younger Ri Sol Ju.

If true, and like all news about North Korea it must be read with a certain amount of scepticism, then both Kim Jung Un, who went to school in Switzerland, and his wife have seen and experienced the outside world.
