Desperate residents scramble for food amid Aleppo fighting

While thousands have fled the Syrian city of Aleppo in recent days as violence escalated, many remain trapped in the city battling severe food shortages amid the fierce battling.

ITV News' Neil Connery reports on those fighting to stay alive:

Aleppo, a city of 2.5 million widely known as the country's commercial hub, has become the latest battleground for conflict between regime forces and rebel fighters.

Those on the ground have described life in the city as "unbearable" with shelling night and day, NBC News reports.
