Alp shooting survivor speaks to police
A seven-year-old school girl whose parents were murdered in a shooting spree during a family holiday in the French Alps has spoken to police. Zainab al-Hilli was shot and beaten during the attack and placed in a medically induced coma.
Police have said that it was an initial introduction and not the start of the questioning process, as the seven-year-old continues to be treated for very serious injuries and is not in a fit state to be questioned in any great detail at this point.
ITv News' UK Editor Lucy Manning reports:
Investigators in the case have revealed that four of the shooting victims were killed with the same gun. It fuels speculation that they were targeted by a highly-trained contract killer.
Detailed ballistic analysis of 25 spent cartridges found at the scene revealed they all came from a 7.65mm automatic pistol, according to local reports. Investigators claim that the gunman must have reloaded it twice.
