Balls and Burnham on scoresheet as Labour beat journalists in football clash
Two goals from the Shadow Chancellor and one from the Shadow Health Secretary were enough to see off a toothless Press Lobby XI as Labour finished 3 - 0 victors in a football match staged during the party's annual conference in Manchester.
A cool finish from Andy Burnham was too good for Financial Times Political correspondent Kiran Stacey, in goal for the team of journalists.
Ed Balls converted a penalty which he won himself after being fouled in the hacks' penalty area.
#newsblackout? Are any of the lobby reporting the result of the footy this morning. Feeling a bit sore but 3-0 against journalist worth it!
