Dull and damp weather for the next 24 hours, the sun will reappear on Tuesday.
For the time being the rest of Sunday remains fine and dry with some sun. It isn't until the early hours of Monday morning that we will see the first of the rain. Cloud preceding the rain will keep temperatures higher than recently overnight. So lows will dip to around 7-10°C.
Monday morning will begin on a wet note with outbreaks of rain across most parts of the region. The wind may pick up some strength as well. Through the afternoon the rain eases and retreats southwards, although skies will remain cloudy. It will feel cool under leadened skies with temperatures struggling to 13-14°C.
Brighter few days ahead
Come Tuesday the skies will be brighter and drier. It will feel warmer as well with some sunny spells. Temperatures will reach 16°C with just a gentle breeze. Despite a chilly night, Wednesday looks similar as high pressure remains dominant.
More umbrella weather by end of week
All change during Thursday though as rain spreads across from the west, heralding a few wet days to come at the end of the week.
