X Factor hopeful Melanie Masson became the second contestant to be booted off the talent show after the judges' vote went to deadlock again.
Her mentor Gary Barlow and fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger voted to keep Masson but Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh saved boyband District 3.
Host Dermot O'Leary was forced to turn to the public vote for a second week in a row and Masson was sent home after performing "Stay With Me" by Lorraine Ellison.
After hearing the final result, Masson said:
I have absolutely enjoyed every single second of being here and the opportunities it has brought to work with Gary, to work with everybody, it's just been the best experience, I've loved it.
Barlow said he "was gutted" and "really disappointed" that his 44-year-old contestant was leaving the live shows.
Contestant James Arthur returned to the stage for Sunday's results show despite an ambulance being called on Saturday night after he suffered a panic attack following his performance.
Show bosses summoned paramedics due to fears about his health from the incident after he sang Mary J Blige's No More Drama.
Arthur did not need to be taken to hospital after the medical crew decided there was no need.
I had an anxiety attack last night, maybe because I gave everything I had to my performance.
I feel loads better this morning after a good night's sleep and I'm looking forward to tonight's show - there's no way I am missing it.
