Emmerdale celebrates its 40th birthday with a live episode which will have two weddings, two births and a mystery death.
And as the village prepares for the show of its life Emmerdale has tweeted a few snaps of what is going on behind the scenes:
Speculation and secrecy surround the demise of a much loved character. Programme bosses say the death will have "major, far-reaching repercussions".
Avid viewers will be hoping to see the joint wedding of Chas Dingle and Dan Spencer, and Katie Sugden and Declan Macey, but an air of uncertainty hangs over the joint nuptials.
Elsewhere Debbie Dingle is set to give birth to a baby she hopes will save her daughter Sarah's life after she developed leukaemia.
Emmerdale is following in the footsteps of Coronation Street with live birthday episodes. Emmerdale director Tony Prescott will be in charge and says what he and the cast need is good luck much of the action is set outside and not in controllable conditions.

What we basically have for the 40th birthday episode is a magnificent play, set on the world's biggest stage, in the middle of the Yorkshire wilderness. You can just imagine the problems that could be unleashed."
With rain forecast, the weather could be a problem. Although there are only two brides involved in the episode, five wedding dresses are on standby in case the characters get a soaking.
