Gerry McCann, father of missing Madeleine, has urged David Cameron to fully implement Lord Justice Leveson's recommendations on press regulation.
In an interview with ITV News, Mr McCann urged politicians to "do the right thing" and accept in full the suggestions for a new regulatory system.
Lord Justice Leveson used the coverage of the disappearance of Madeleine as an example of how stories ran "totally out of control".
Meanwhile, Hacked Off, the group campaigning for phone hacking victims, has reached 20,000 signatures in its e-petition to support the implementation of recommendations provided by the Leveson Report.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling told the Hacked Off website that she was "alarmed and dismayed" by Cameron's reaction to the Leveson report.
