David Cameron and Ed Miliband released very different Christmas cards, with the Camerons choosing an Olympic-themed image, while the Milibands opted for a traditional family shot.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg traditionally avoids a staged photograph and uses cards designed by children.

This year he has picked a painting by a young patient at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
