In pictures: Zoo animals wake up to snow

The animals at Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable, Bedfordshire have been getting used to their new surroundings after waking up to a thick layer of snow.

Whilst the wolves and wolverine will be feeling at home in the icy conditions, the herd of oryx - native to arid parts of Africa and the Arab Peninsula - will have had a chilly surprise.
