Bournemouth's tourism board has attempted to revamp the town's reputation as a resting place for the elderly by releasing a parody advert of a star-studded California commercial.
While the US ad features cameos from A-listers including Arnold Schwarznegger, Kim Kardashian and Rob Lowe, Bournemouth's version has football manger Harry Redknapp.
But the advert's creators hope their tongue-in-cheek clip will challenge stereotypes about the city and bring in new visitors.
ITV News correspondent Rupert Evelyn reports.
Bournemouth has long been synonymous with retirement homes, but the advert describes a city of long beaches, al fresco dining, lush parks and a thriving art scene
The other, albeit not A-list, celebrities to appear are Blur bass player Alex James and actress Debra Stephenson, with the rest of the cast comprised of Dorset locals.
Tourism manager Mark Smith said he was "staggered" by the popularity of the advert, which looks set to become an online hit:
The organisers said they were inspired to make the advert by a California resident - the pop star Katy Perry.
Jasmine Connolly of the Bournemouth Tourism Marketing Group said:
We were storyboarding some ideas and remembered that Katy Perry had mentioned when she came to Bournemouth that it reminded her of her home town in California.
