Dangling from one of London's most famous landmarks, daredevil Jonathan Goodwin has performed one of his most death-defying stunts. Trapped in a straitjacket, he had just minutes to escape a burning rope hanging from the London Eye.
The stunt was being filmed for a new television show. Crowds gathered below as the professional danger man began to release himself from the burning rope positioned more than 200 feet in the air.
During years of working as a professional danger man, the 32-year-old has travelled the world placing himself in the most extreme and life-threatening situations.
With just seconds to spare, the flames appeared to engulf Goodwin's jacket.
Just as things were heating up in central London the escapologist threw his jacket to the ground to rounds of applause from stunned onlookers.
Jonathan Goodwin, who's from Pembrokeshire in West Wales said:
Danger is a part of my profession and the adrenaline I get from each stunt I do drives me on to the next. Pushing the limits is exciting and I hope I have left the crowd with a memorable experience.
The stunt was filmed for his new television show, The Incredible Mr. Goodwin, which starts on Watch this Thursday.
