Reeva Steenkamp's parents speak of their grief

June and Barry Steenkamp, whose daughter Reeva was fatally shot by Paralympic gold medallist Oscar Pistorius in South Africa, have spoken of their grief and the questions surrounding the model's death.

In an exclusive interview to be screened tonight on Channel 5, the couple reveal what they knew of their daughter's relationship with Pistorius, what they thought of him, their thoughts on the coming trial and how they have coped since the shooting.

The question is why? Why did he shoot her?

I want to know why he shot her because she must have been so afraid in that toilet [with] someone firing bullets at her.

One bullet had hit her so she must have been in severe pain.
