Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has never been far from the headlines during her colourful career. The 24-year-old singer first found fame with N-Dubz and was dropped as a judge on The X Factor last month.

Tulisa confirms she will not be returning as a judge to X Factor this year. She posted a message on Twitter to explain her stint on the show was over, although her departure after two series had long been expected. She tweeted:

Tulisa sees her chart career stall as her debut solo album limps to just number 35 in the charts. Her first solo single Young had been a chart-topper.
- MARCH 2012: Sex tape
A video of Tulisa performing a sex act on a former boyfriend made its way onto the internet, leaving her no option but to eventually admit it was her in the video. She chose to set the record straight by posting a video of her own on YouTube.
- MARCH 2012: Vibrating luggage
At Miami airport Tulisa was asked to open up her suitcase as customs officials noticed something was vibrating inside. She tweeted:

OFCOM rules that the arm gesture made by Tulisa at the start of each of the live X Factor show did not breach strict broadcasting rules on advertising. Viewers has complained she was promoting her perfume because her tattoo said 'The Female Boss'.
