X Factor finalist Jahmene Douglas believes things could "get crazy" on the show this year, with the return of Sharon Osbourne.

Douglas's mentor Nicole Scherzinger is back on the panel in the 10th series, alongside returning judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Osbourne, who has made a triumphant comeback to the ITV talent show after leaving in 2007.

The 22-year-old singer, who came second to winner James Arthur, said:

I think it's nice to have a little bit more crazy. Nicole and Sharon - something's gonna happen. It's girls against the boys.

Douglas, whose debut album Love Never Fails and new single Titanium will be released on July 22, admitted he would have preferred former Pussycat Doll Scherzinger to concentrate on her music career instead of being a television judge.

I personally wanted her to focus on her album but I will encourage her in whatever she wants to do.

I think it's nice that people get to experience her in another year. She's an amazing mentor and whoever has her is going to be blessed. She will encourage them the best that she can.

I had some shaky moments and she reminded me to believe in myself.

Douglas, who is set to perform a one-off concert at St James's Piccadilly, London on July 18, revealed Scherzinger has become a good friend. They duet on a cover of Whitney Houston's hit The Greatest Love Of All on his album.

"To have my friend on my album - that's cool," he said.

Douglas also joked Scherzinger might need her own dictionary for her vocabulary this upcoming season.

Everything she said on the show like 'Jah-mazing' and 'grow some balls' has stuck with me.

I think we might make our own dictionary - a 'Nic-tionary' - at some point! She's always saying weird stuff and making words up. What she does on TV is who she is.
