iPhone Photography Award winners revealed

1st Place, 2013 Photographer of the Year Photo: Holly Wesley

The winners of the iPhone Photography Awards 2013 have been revealed.

The competition, now in its sixth year, showcases the stunning results that can occur when the talents of amateur photographers are mixed with the technical ability of iPhone camera technology.

Every shot captures the moment as it happens, and although apps like Instagram and Hisptamatic are allowed to enhance the image, editing software such as Photoshop is forbidden.

Images can be taken with an iPhone or an iPod.

Thousands of entries from 38 countries across the world competed in 16 categories, covering everything from children, food, landscape and seasons.

For more information on how to enter next year's competition, go to the IPPA website.
