The £100 per night B&B beat off competition from establishments in Thailand, Morocco and California to win first place.

However, owners Lisa and Clive Orchard are new to the B&B game and only started the holiday stop three years ago.

Daybreak's Jonathan Swain caught up with the owners to find out how the news had effected their business.

There were other winners in the TripAdvisor poll:

  • The Chester Residence in Edinburgh named one of the top three Luxury hotels in the world.
  • Lauriston Court Hotel in Llandudno named one of the top three Bargain hotels in the world.
  • Castlewood House in Dingle, Ireland was named the worlds #1 Bargain hotel, with rooms from just €45 a night.
