Prince Charles told Camilla to "down the hatch" as the pair pulled pints during a visit to an Essex pub today.
Charles, who is a patron of the Pub is the Hub, a not-for-profit organisation offering support to rural pubs, met regulars at The Bell in Purleigh.
The visit was part of a day-long trip around Essex with visits to the High House Production Park in Purfleet and the Palace Theatre in Westcliff-on-Sea.
The Prince of Wales had earlier offered his services as a singer to a community choir - but doubted his voice would be of much use.
Charles played down his musical abilities claiming he had a "gravelly bass" singing voice.
June Bull was not put off by Charles' honesty saying the group "could have kept him amused for hours" if he had joined.
