Men in North Korea are being forced to have the same haircut as their leader Kim Jong-un, according to local media.
The 'Dear Leader Kim Jong-un' style was introduced in the capital Pyongyang two weeks ago, and has now been rolled out across the country.
The state-sanctioned guidelines are not the first to outline restrictions on looks. In February both men and women were given a small choice of different hairstyles to choose from.
The Korea Times claims not everyone is happy with the crop as it resembles that of a Chinese smuggler.
A source told Korean Times the style was practical.
A former Pyongyang resident, who now lives in China, said the style was usually shunned, as it was associated with Chinese smugglers. "Until the mid-2000s, we called it the ‘Chinese smuggler haircut'," they said.
