An Elvis Presley fan from Wales died after a traffic accident while on a birthday trip to her idol's US home.
According to local Elvis impersonator Joe Kent, Andrea attended his gig in Memphis Tennesse where she celebrated her birthday. He sang her favourite song before saying goodnight.
Mr Kent said Andrea was involved in a hit and run about an hour later.
– Joe Kent
We celebrated Andrea Baker's Birthday at my show Saturday night. We hugged and said our 'Good Nights'.
About an hour later she was killed by a hit and run driver on Brooks Road.
Rest In Peace, my dear friend. Goodnight my Dear Andrea.
The 54-year-old, from Pembrokeshire, West Wales, died two days later in hospital.
Friends and other Elvis fans had started a fund to try and raise funds to help Andrea's family transport her remains home, as it was feared that they could not afford the costs.
After a campaign to raise the funds Mr Kent confirmed that Andrea's insurance would pay for her to be repatriated and that the money already raised would go towards her funeral.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said:
We were made aware of the death of a British national on May 19 in America.
We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time.
