Heatwave highs being enjoyed across the UK

The recent heatwave has brought the hottest spell and highest temperatures of the year so far with temperatures not far off 30C the last few days.

For England, temperatures peaked at 32C on the 18th in Gravesend, Kent.

In Scotland, 29C was the high at Achnagart, Ross & Cromarty on the 24th. Wales also saw temperatures soar to 29C at Porthmadog, Gwynedd on the same date.

Northern Ireland managed to reach 29C yesterday at Giant's Causeway, Antrim.
