One Direction's Zayn Malik received death threats after pledging his support to the #FreePalestine campaign.
The singer, who found fame on ITV's X Factor, followed in the footsteps of popstar Rihanna who also tweeted the hashtag.
Malik's tweet has already gathered around 150,000 retweets and favourites after he posted the message to his 13 million followers this morning.
The tweet caused upset online with several people telling the singer to "kill himself".

However, the One Direction star also received some support online with tweeters saying they "respected" Malik's stance.
Malik is not the first popstar to support the campaign, with singer Rihanna tweeting #FreePalestine earlier this month.
