A glamour model has defended her decision to cash in on the birth of her third child saying it is better than claiming benefits.
Josie Cunningham from Yorkshire sold four tickets, two priced £5,000 and two at £10,000, to allow four strangers to watch her give birth after a deal to sell DVDs of the delivery fell through.
The 24-year-old, who recently sparked outrage for receiving a £4,800 breast enlargement on the NHS, defended her decision on ITV's This Morning programme , saying she would not be pocketing the cash.
Ms Cunningham said selling tickets to the birth was better than "sitting at home and claiming benefits."
"I've worked from being 15 and there have been times I've had to claim benefits. I'm carving out a stable career for my kids - that's far from a scrounger," she said.
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford suggested the public view her as a 'fame hungry attention seeker'.
"I'm not bothered that people talk about me. I thrive off it to be honest", she added.
