A baby born three months premature has had his 80-day journey in the neonatal intensive care unit in North Carolina documented in a time lapse video.
Walker Colt Pruett weighed 1lb, 3ozs and was 11 3/4 inches long when he was born, according to parents Erica and Jared.
In a blog following Walker's days in the NICU at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, the couple said they were only allowed to hold the newborn for 45 minutes-a-day.
On July 31, Walker was given the go-ahead to go home, weighing up to 6lbs, 1.4ozs. The project was run by Capturing Hopes, a non-profit organisation devoted to photographing premature babies in the intensive care unit.
