A cloudy start for some giving way to spells of sunshine

In the next few hours we will see clearer skies in the north, turning nippy overnight. Cloud cover over the south will bring milder weather, but a grey morning tomorrow.

After a slow start in places, with cloudy skies first thing, it will brighten up and another dry day with spells of sunshine is expected.

Although it will not be wall-to-wall blue skies, it will be warm for the time of year with highs of 25C possible in places.

Not bad for early September and a big improvement on much of August.
