The US faces six more weeks of winter - according to the weather-reading groundhog Punxsutawney Phil.
According to American folklore, if the rodent sees his shadow then the country can expect six more weeks of winter. If he does not, then spring is on the way.
Every year on February 2, known as Groundhog Day, thousands descend on the small Pennsylvania town Gobbler's Knob to toast Phil and take part in the festivities.
This year - the 127th Groundhog Day - Phil saw his shadow, causing some in the crowd to boo when they heard the news.
