Ben and Jerry's is to launch ice cream flavoured beer
To many, this will be a match made in heaven: Ice cream flavoured beer is coming.
One of the worlds’ most popular ice cream makers is to launch a beer brand to help raise money for charity.
US ice-cream legends Ben and Jerry’s have collaborated with the New Belgium Brewing Company to launch Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale –giving beer drinkers with a sweet tooth the perfect excuse to mix alcohol and desert.
The delicious sounding brew promises to pack a punch; weighingin at 6.3% ABV and coming in hefty 22oz (650ml) bottles.
And it’s for a good cause – it is hoped that the brew will raise awareness for Protect Our Winters, a charity aimed at lessening the impacts of climate change on America’s snow-laden mountain ranges.
Senior Global Marketing Manager of Ben & Jerry’s, Jay Curley, told Beerstreetjournal.com:
The release date for Salted Caramel Brown Ale has yet to be confirmed, but is expected to be this Autumn.
