A father-of-one was just days away from celebrating his 21st birthday when he was killed in a horror crash involving a quad bike.

Ryan Beal, 20, was killed alongside his friends Brandon Brown, Alexandra Binns, and Terrie Kirby, also known as Terrie Lynch, in the early hours of Sunday in West Yorkshire.

He was riding a quad bike when it collided with a sports car on the A6201 between Upton and Hemsworth at around 12.30am.

Ryan, a window fitter, was due to celebrate his 21st birthday on Tuesday, his devastated brother revealed.

"He would have been 21 on Tuesday - all the rugby lads had planned on taking him out next Saturday," said Steve Beal, 26.

He said his brother worked as a window fitter and was a huge rugby league fan who played for his local club.

Mr Beal revealed Ryan was "into his quad biking" but was unsure "what he was doing with it out on the road".

Speaking from Upton Rugby Club where Ryan played, Mr Beal paid an emotional tribute to a "caring dad" who loved his baby daughter Ruby "to bits".

He was a caring dad. He had played rugby for around 10 years from the age of seven, only stopping when his daughter Ruby was born.

He was into all sorts from fishing, to going out with the dog, but his baby, Ruby, was his pride and joy he loved her to bits.

He also was into his quad biking and used to take his quad bike out quite a lot off road but I don’t know what he was doing with it out on the road.

He would have been 21 on Tuesday. All the rugby lads had planned on taking him out next Saturday.

Tributes are pouring in for Ryan and the three other victims of the tragedy, with many friends and relatives using social media to express their grief.
