Muse set to make Glastonbury Festival history

Muse have been confirmed as one of the headline acts at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

The rock act will perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night and become the first band ever to have headlined every night at the Worthy Farm bash - performing on Saturday in 2010 and Sunday in 2004.

Muse posted a video on Twitter showing snippets from their previous appearances, ending with a scene of an empty field, and wrote: "Playing a little show at home ..."

The trio, from Devon, join Coldplay on the bill for the famous music event.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis tweeted earlier this month that PJ Harvey is coming back to the event for the first time since 2004, playing the Other Stage on Sunday.
