A man trapped between a wall and a fence for seven hours has been rescued by firefighters.
The man was reported to have been trapped by his leg, although a South Wales Fire and Rescue spokesperson said they "do not know how he got stuck".
The fire service added crews used "small tools" to free the man who was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg and dehydration shortly before 6.30am on Tuesday morning.
Kelly Clarke, manager of the Fox & Hounds pub in Whitchurch, Cardiff, said she had no idea that a man had been stuck close to the pub overnight, and that the first she knew of it was when she was woken by firefighters knocking on the pub's door at 6.30am. "I thought the pub was on fire," she said.
