High pressure takes charge of our weather for the beginning of this week. We are set to see a sunny and warm start, but there is a risk of thunder for some of us late Tuesday into Wednesday.
Monday will be a fine day. Scotland will be a little cloudy at first, but otherwise sunny and warm. High cloud will drift in from time to time, turning the sunshine hazy through the course of the day, particularly across southern England. Monday night will be warm and humid and it stays very warm and humid through Tuesday.
Scattered thunderstorms will arrive into the southwest later on Tuesday, heralding a messy, thundery breakdown by mid-week.
After the showers clear, it turns much cooler and fresher from Thursday.
