Today: A fine day for many with plenty of strong sunshine, this a little hazy at times across England and Wales. Cloudier across northern Scotland with some light rain in Shetland. Very warm, for most but less humid in the south.
Tonight: Rain will clear Shetland to leave a dry night for all with prolonged clear spells. Turning cloudier in the far south later but rather muggy, however cooler in the north.
Tuesday: Another generally fine day with sunny intervals, but becoming very warm and humid for many. Thundery showers may reach the southwest through the afternoon and early evening.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Thundery rain will spread northwards on Wednesday leaving another hot and humid day in the south, but cooler in rain further north. Thereafter, fresher with stronger winds and some rain.
