Mark Hughes will be hampered by defensive injuries again when he selects a Stoke side to face Southampton at the bet365 Stadium.

Bruno Martins Indi (groin) is the latest absentee, while Ryan Shawcross (back) is also missing and both Geoff Cameron and Kevin Wimmer (both hamstring) are rated doubtful.

Hughes does have Kurt Zouma back after the Frenchman was ineligible to face his parent club last weekend and full-backs Glen Johnson and Erik Pieters are also options to play centrally again.

Pellegrino could be able to select from strength for Saturday's Stoke visit, with Matt Targett working hard to shake off ankle trouble.
