Cloudy for many but sunny spells in south-east

Top temperature will be 24C. Credit: Met Office

A band of cloud with some rain will push southeastwards from northern England and Wales into more central and southwestern parts, easing as it goes.

To the north of this rain it will be bright with sunny spells but also a few showers, these mainly over Scotland.

Here there will be strong winds at first but these should generally ease.

Towards southeast England, it will be a fine day with some warm sunshine and highs of 24c.
