7 days of strikes

The Unite union and British Airways are locking in a fight for survival after seven strike dates were confirmed.

Cabin crew will walk out on March 20th for three days. They'll then strike again for four days from March 27th.

Unite made the announcement on Friday morning.

British Airways will rely on a team of volunteers and hire fully staffed planes to try to keep as many flights as possible in the air. BA's Chief Executive Willie Walsh said the airline had now withdrawn its final offer on pay and staffing levels.

The strike action is likely to cause disruption for tens of thousands of passengers.
