Sunshine and patchy cloud with frost to follow
by Lucy Verasamy - ITV Weather PresenterYesterday some parts of England were colder than on Christmas Day.
Temperatures around the Home Counties and southern England barely got to a measly 6 or 7C.
These are temperatures we usually see in January and February.
Added to this the pouring (in places, thundery) rain and unseasonably gusty winds - made it feel freezing cold for late May.
As we go into the Bank Holiday, there will be a big improvement.
Bright with sunshine and just patchy cloud today and highs of 16 to 17c - a little shy for the time of year, but so much better than yesterday.
It's a very similar set up on Sunday, but as for Bank Holiday Monday, it's all change.
US case gives father hope of finding missing daughter
The father of missing chef Claudia Lawrence, who vanished in March 2009, said the recent discovery of three women who went missing 10 years ago in the US has given him hope that his daughter will be found.
Speaking at a race organised by charity Missing People, Peter Lawrence said he hoped it would not take as long to find out what had happened to her.
He was attending the Miles for Missing People's 10km run on Clapham Common, south London, which was started by Kate McCann, whose daughter Madeleine disappeared on holiday in Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve in 2007.
