Plans submitted for new footbridge
Network Rail has submitted plans for a footbridge at the rail crossing where a teenager was killed in January 2012.
15-year-old Katie Littlewood was hit by a train at Johnson's Footpath Crossing near Bishop's Stortford.
If the plans get the go-ahead, the current gates and sirens will be replaced by a large brick bridge with disabled access. Network Rail says it's part of a national programme by the company to improve safety at level crossings.
