A body found in the River Great Ouse at Olney in Buckinghamshire more than 25 years ago has been identified as 28-year-old Michael Walsh.
The body of Mr Walsh, formerly of Serpentine Court Bletchley, was pulled from the river in December 1986, but inquiries failed to identify him. An inquest in 1987 returned an open verdict.
The remains were exhumed from a cemetery in Fenny Street in Milton Keynes three weeks ago for DNA tests to be carried out.
A full inquest will be held at a later date on July 10, at 2pm.

Michael went missing on Christmas Day in 1985 when he was 28-years-old. He was reported missing to police in January 1986. Michael was a true gentleman, who has been much missed by his family, partner, son and friends."
The family added it is a great relief to finally have closure.
