Peterborough Museum is opening its doors once again to visitors after its £3.2million refurbishment.

The Museum is officially being opened by special guest, Tony Robinson, presenter of the Time Team programme and the Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor Paula Thacker.

The redevelopment project was funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Peterborough City Council and Vivacity.

“I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the project - our funders, project management team, builders, volunteers and staff, without whom this landmark refurbishment would not have been possible. The Museum has been transformed, and we can't wait to show it off to visitors over the coming months.”

– Sarah Stannage, head of heritage at Vivacity.
