Long-serving staff recognised for more than 1,700 years of care

Staff at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds have been presented with long service awards.

67 staff, including housekeepers, midwives, nurses, administrators, consultants and occupational therapists, have been presented with certificates celebrating their long careers at the hospital.

Six people receiving awards have enjoyed careers at West Suffolk spanning 35 years.

Twenty people were recognised for 30 years’ service, 19 for25 years’ service and 22 for 20 years’ service.

Jan Bloomfield, executive director of workforce and communications at West Suffolk, said: “We were delighted to be able to present so many long-service awards this year, and would like to congratulate all of those who received recognition on their achievement.

“We are extremely proud to have such loyal and dependable people working at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. They have shown enormous dedication to the hospital and our patients throughout their careers, and weare really grateful for their hard work and commitment.”
