Young people in Cromer in Norfolk are a step nearer to having a permanent skatepark. Councillors have agreed that The Meadow is the perfect location. But tens of thousands of pounds has to be raised to build the new facility and planning permission agreed.
Hilary Thompson, a town, district and county councillor, said :"The location is perfect, It's by the centre of the town, near to the train station and people can park on the car park and let their children play on the skatepark while they shop."
In the meantime youngsters can use a temporary skatepark at the former Kiddies' Corner at North Lodge Park on Overstrand Road. But this will end when improvements begin there in early summer.
